The Dickinson state men’s and women’s cross country teams placed 31st and 33rd respectively, at the NAIA national championship in Vancouver, Wash. on Saturday, Nov. 18.

The University of British Columbia took home first place on the men’s side with a team score of 41 and also on the women’s side with a score of 109.

The Blue Hawk men were led by senior Rodney Henry who finished 149th with a time of 26 minutes and 38 seconds. Senior Christopher Moreno finished one second behind Henry, earning 150th place in the 8K race.

Mark Shaw of Oklahoma City University won the men’s race in 24:09 and from the same school, Aminat Olowora won the women’s race with a time of 16:50.

Dickinson State women were led by sophomore Jacey Wilson who ran the 5K race in 19 minutes and 18 seconds, good for 130th overall. Freshman Julia Falcon crossed the line next for the Blue Hawks with a time of 19:57.
