DP: Where are you from and why did you choose Dickinson State?
KH: "I'm from Baker, Mont., and I chose DSU for the family effect. I really enjoy being part of something bigger. DSU is a perfect place for a little family to be."
DP: How long have you been playing volleyball and what is your favorite part?
KH: "I've been playing volleyball since, probably when I was about two. My mom was a head volleyball coach in Baker, so I've been in the gym for a lot of years. My favorite part is probably all my teammates throughout the years."
DP: Do you participate in anything else on campus?
KH: "I'm in the Education club and the Love Your Melon club."
DP: What has been the highlight of your senior season?
KH: "The highlight of my senior season has obviously been making playoffs, but also M.S. night we had a couple weekends ago. It was really cool to get to recognize my mom."
DP: I feel like you're always chewing gum. Is that your 'thing?'
KH: "Chewing gum is my nervous habit. It's something I always do. Like I have to throw a piece of gum in before a game, or before an interview or a test or anything. It's just kind of what I do."
DP: If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
DP: Where is the best place to eat in town?
KH: "I don't know if it's the best place to eat in town, but my family is a huge Hardee's fan, so after every game we always go to Hardee's."
DP: If you had to lose two of your senses, what would they be?
KH: "Hearing and ... probably taste."
DP: If you had a superpower what would it be?
KH: "To be invisible. Getting out of situations is fun."
DP: What is the best show or movie you watched recently?
KH: "I'm a big 27 Dresses fan."
DP: Who or what is your biggest inspiration to succeed?
KH: "My mom is my biggest inspiration. As everyone knows through M.S. night, she's had a lot of battles in her life that she's gone through and volleyball has always been our thing."
