WILLISTON - The Dickinson High boys swimming and diving team kicked off its 2018-19 campaign by finishing fifth at the Williston Sprint Meet on Saturday, Dec. 8, from the Williston Area Recreation and Wellness Center.

The Midgets collected 147 points while Bismarck Century topped all teams with 512 points.

In a meet that featured shorter races, senior Isaac Ellerkamp had the highest individual finish, taking third in the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 31.32 seconds. Ellerkamp was in the pool during the team’s best relay performance, teaming with freshmen Trent Irwin, Casey Tuhy and sophomore Taven Wilson to earn a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of one minute and 47.07 seconds.

The foursome also competed in the 200 medley relay, capturing sixth.

Wilson was the only other Dickinson swimmer with individual top-10 finishes, coming in eighth at the 50 butterfly and 100 individual medley.
