BISMARCK - Two swimmers from the Dickinson High boys swim and dive team earned their spots for the state meet during the Bismarck Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 15, from the Bismarck Aquatic & Wellness Center.

Senior co-captain Isaac Ellerkamp swam a state-qualifying time in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of one minute, 11.13 seconds. Clearing the qualifying mark by more than a second, Ellerkamp earned sixth in the event. With a time of 24.86 seconds, freshman Mason Beck raced his way into state in the 50 freestyle, placing seventh in the event.

The duo aided the Midgets to a seventh-place finish with a team score of 146 points. Minot won the event with a mark of 636.

Dawson Wilson was another individual highlight for the Midgets, as the freshman earned state consideration in the one-meter dive after finals score of 189.25.
