College Wrestling

Gresh Jones led the Dickinson State Blue Hawks at the Missouri Valley Invite with a third place finish in the 133 weight class.

As a team, Dickinson State finished 16th of 48 teams.

Jamie Mullins came in seventh in the 141 weight class after winning his first three matches of the invite.

Dante Venema and Trey Taylor went 2-2 in the 125 and 141 weight classes respectively.

The Blue Hawks host the Tyler Plummer Classic next Saturday.

College Men’s Basketball

Dickinson State split their weekend NSAA games with a road victory at Waldorf on Saturday. The Blue Hawks won 83-73 after the contest was tied at 36 at half. Donte Walker led the Blue Hawks with 19 points and Montel Carlow had 17.

Dickinson State hosts Presentation next Friday night.

College Women’s Basketball

The Blue Hawks bested Waldorf on Saturday afternoon by a score of 78 to 66. Ashlie Larson led Dickinson State with 29 points and Ashlie Watts had 20.

High School Girls Hockey

The Dickinson Midgets fell 5-0 to Minot on Saturday. The Midgets fell behind 1-0 after the first period and they allowed three goals in the second period. Dickinson recorded only six shots on goal in the contest. Tierney Yoder finished with 40 saves.

High School Gymnastics

The Dickinson Midgets won their meet in Bismarck on Friday night with 144.975 points. Legacy came in second place. In the All-Around Ayanna Fossum finished first with a total score of 36.325. Seven of the top 12 finishers were from Dickinson. On the vault, Fossum finished first with a score of 9.350.

Brinklyn Schumacker and Amy Fridley finished tied for third with a score of 9.100. Fossum won the bars with a score of 9.325 and Brooklyn Dequzman came in second with a score of 8.950. On the beams, Rylee Olson was Dickinson’s highest finisher in a tie for third with a score of 9.000. Fossum finished first on the floor with a 9.600.

High School Boys Basketball

On Friday night, Dickinson fell 96 to 80 to Bismarck High. Kobe Krenz scored 22 points and Jaiden Wright added 21. Jayden Hocker scored 16. Tallon Klatt had 12 rebounds to lead the team, while Wright had 10. Klatt also finished with 2 blocks.
