Bowman County 51, Trinity 24.

The Bowman County Bulldogs bested the Trinity Titans on Tuesday by a score of 51-24.

Both teams now have a 10-9 overall record, but with the win Bowman County's region record is Bulldogs 6-3 and the Titans’ is 5-4.

Bowman County pulled away from the very beginning as they led 18- 9 after one quarter and 28-15 at halftime.

Ellie Powell led the way for the Bulldogs with 13 points. A trio of Bulldogs in Abby Smyle, Alexius Miller and Andrea Rodakowski all scored nine points for Bowman County.

Jill Svihovec added five points for the Bulldogs.

Abbey Kubas was the only Titan to score in double-digits. She had 12 points, while Kali Kubas had five, Hope Fath had three and Kara Wanner and Amaya Willer scored two points each.

The 24 total points scored by Trinity was tied for a season low.

Mandan 70, Dickinson 54.

The Dickinson Midgets dropped to 3-14 overall and 2-14 in the WDA with a loss at Mandan on Tuesday night.

Dickinson trailed 36-29 at halftime, and the Braves pulled away in the second half. Peyton Selle led the Midgets with 18 points. Audrey Rodakowski had 12 and Symone Beld scored 11. Taya Hopfauf totaled six points, while Sydney Binstock’s only bucket of the night came on a three-pointer. Reese Hauck and Paige Balliet scored two points each.

High School Boys Basketball

Mandan 76, Dickinson 66.

After upsetting the No. 1 team in North Dakota, the Midgets were unable to continue their success by falling to the Mandan Braves. The team shot 30% overall from the field, as opposed to Mandan shooting 55%. The Braves torched the Midgets from the 3-point line, connecting on six of their 12 attempts, compared to the Midgets, which shot 19%. Mandan also outrebounded Dickinson 41-37 and heavily passed the ball, recording 21 assists to the Midgets’ 11.

The Midgets’ Kobe Krenz and Tallon Klatt both recorded a double-double, Krenz scoring 20 points and totaling 10 rebounds, Klatt recording 21 points and totaling 10 rebounds. Jaiden Wright was another top scorer for the team, with 21 of his own.

For the Braves, Elijah Klein was the leading scorer for Mandan with 27, and Jayce Lowman added 22 of his own.

The Midgets are now 9-8 and play again at home against Turtle Mountain on Friday, Feb. 14.
