Thursday was a balanced day for sports in the Southwestern region of North Dakota.

In girls varsity basketball, Heart River traveled to Trinity for a hard fought battle against the Titans. The game came down to the closing minutes, but Trinity came out on top 49-44.

In boys varsity basketball, the Glen Ullin-Hebron Bearcats traveled to Hazen and came out with a well deserved 67-55 victory.

In other sports, the Dickinson High gymnastics team competed and came out with its first second place finish of the season with a score of 142.800. Jamestown placed first with 144.000. The Midgets were without Brooklyn Deguzman and sophomore Amy Fridley only competed in the bars and the floor exercise.
