The Heart River Cougars got their season underway on Saturday as they travelled to Sargent County in a non-region game. It was the second year in a row Hear River were held scoreless in their opening game, losing to Bowman County last year 26-0 to open the season. The Bulldogs held a 16-0 lead at halftime and continued to extend their lead, scoring 23 in the second half.
