Tuesday featured a strong night of varsity athletics on the western edge of North Dakota.

In girls varsity basketball, one game was played with Dickinson Trinity hosting Bowman County. The Titans took the victory over the Bulldogs 48-34.

In boys varsity basketball, the Midgets hosted Mandan and fell 79-47. In Class B Region 7, the Mott-Regent Wildfire pulled off arguably the upset of the season so far with a 43-42 victory over No. 3 Trinity.

In non-basketball, the Dickinson boys hockey team battled against Hazen-Beulah and snapped its six game losing streak with a 7-4 victory.
