Dickinson State Athlete of the Week - Madison Hansen
The Dickinson State women's basketball team came as close to a win as they have in a long time on Saturday versus Dakota State (S.D.), aided by freshman Madison Hansen.
The 5-foot-10 Broadus, Mont. native scored eight points and collected eight rebounds in the first half of the game, which the Blue Hawks went on to lose 61-56, Saturday Jan. 27 at Scott Gymnasium. Hansen got into foul trouble early in the second half, causing her to sit most of the remaining minutes.
The previous night in a 49-40 loss to Bellevue University (Neb.), Hansen scored eight points, just one shy of the team high.
