ABERDEEN, S.D. - Despite staying with Presentation College (S.D.) for most of the first half, the Dickinson State women’s basketball team ended the regular season with a 72-60 loss on Friday, Feb. 16.

The Blue Hawks (5-24, 0-16 NSAA) were only down 15-14 after one quarter, and stayed with the Saints (12-13, 8-7 NSAA) for much of the second, but an 8-2 run at the end of the quarter gave Presentation a 42-33 lead at the half, its greatest advantage so far.

Dickinson State outscored Presentation 14-11 in the final frame, but couldn’t overcome the deficit.

Senior Macy Toelle led the Saints with 20 points, but sophomore Allison Cox had a team-leading 10 boards, four assists and four steals as well as the only blocked shot for the Saints.

Junior Chelsey Borden led the Blue Hawks with 20 points and six rebounds.

DSU had its best night of the season from the foul line, shooting 15-of-16 or 93.8 percent. Borden and junior Karen Hopkins both shot a perfect 4-for-4.
