GRAND FORKS - Aanen Moody, a former North Dakota Mr. Basketball winner from Dickinson who played two seasons at the University of North Dakota, is transferring to Southern Utah.
Moody, one of UND’s top 3-point shooters two years ago at UND, sat out most of last season with an upper-body injury.
After redshirting in the 2017-18 season, the 6-foot-3 Moody appeared in all 30 games as a redshirt freshman but didn't make a start. He led the team in 3-point makes (81) and attempts (198) while shooting at a 40.9 percent clip.
Moody was North Dakota's 2017 Mr. Basketball winner from Dickinson, after capping the state's Class A career scoring record with 2,139 career points.
Southern Utah plays in the Big Sky Conference. The Thunderbirds were 17-15 overall and 9-11 in the Big Sky in the most recent season.
