CINCINNATI (AP) -- Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is expected to coach the team in Baltimore on Sunday, three days after the unexpected death of his wife.
The team said Saturday that Zimmer will be accompanied by his father, his son and one of his daughters.
Vikki Zimmer died Thursday night in Cincinnati. A cause of death has not been announced. The Zimmers were married for 27 years.
Mike Zimmer is in his second season with the Bengals, who face the Ravens on Sunday in an early season showdown between division rivals. Both teams are 3-1, and winner gains sole possession of first place in the AFC North.
Zimmer's defense has been a key part of the Bengals' success, giving up just 19 points a game.
