FARGO — No. 2-ranked South Dakota State held top-ranked North Dakota State scoreless in the second half to rally for a 23-21 victory Saturday in Missouri Valley Football Conference play before a sellout Fargodome crowd.
The Bison (5-2, 3-1 MVFC) have lost three consecutive Dakota Marker games against the Jackrabbits.
NDSU built a 21-7 halftime lead, but didn't score in the final two quarters. SDSU kicker Hunter Dustman made an 18-yard field goal for a 23-21 lead with 3 minutes, 49 seconds to play in the fourth quarter. The Jackrabbits scored 16 unanswered points in the second half before 18,603 fans.
