ABERDEEN, S.D. - Dickinson State baseball, in action in Aberdeen, S.D. over the weekend, got off to quite the start in conference play.
The Blue Hawks (14-12, 4-0) climbed above .500 for the first time all season, and swept both doubleheaders against Presentation College, the first on Saturday and the second on Sunday.
Every game was close-decided by three runs or fewer-but DSU came out the road victor each time, on the first day by tallies of 5-3 and 6-4 and on the second day by 7-4 and 6-5.
Gabe Lizarraga earned the win in the first game, going seven strong and allowing two earned runs on eight hits and two strikeouts. Lucas Rissler had four hits and Jacob Cuch had three.
The winner in the second game was Sean Getchell, who also picked up a save in the first game. He relieved starter Ryan Absher and pitched two scoreless for the victory in relief. Trevor Oldham homered in the contest for the Blue Hawks.

Jalen Lane went seven innings in the first Sunday matchup with the Saints, picking up four strikeouts and the victory. Taylor Dantini, Konner Goettsche and Cuch also saw time on the mound, with Cuch picking up the save in just a third of an inning pitched.
Nate Demarais tallied three hits and Dylan Skabo and Micquel Robinson had two each.
Joey Buchanan picked up the final win of the weekend, tossing four innings and allowing three runs, one earned. Getchell picked up the save, and finished the four game stretch with two saves and a win.
Sagan Osborne hit a homerun for the Blue Hawks.
