CONCORDIA, Minn. - Out of a nine-team field, Dickinson State’s men’s and women’s track and field teams finished seventh and sixth, respectively at the Cobber Duals, hosted by Concordia College
Concordia took place first in both divisions.
On the women’s side for the Blue Hawks, Whitney Leuenberger finished first overall in the shot put with a throw of 12.88 meters.
Amanda Wolff took home second in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:59.16, and Brittney Grove finished in the same place in the 5000 meters, completing the race in 20:10.68.
Lisa Townsend came in fourth place in the 1000 meters, finishing at 3:15.82.

In the pole vault, Lexie Craig took home a tie for second with a height of 2.96 meters. DSU’s Jade Derby finished right behind her in fourth with a height of 2.81.
On the men’s side, Seth Moerkerke jumped 1.68 meters in the high jump, good for fifth.
Carson Oakland (fourth, 6.28 meters), Zach Girard (sixth, 6.2), Kaler Ray (eighth, 6.11) and Tyler Quilling (ninth, 6.01), all placed in the long jump.
Ty Malone was third and Jeff Fisher was fifth in the shot put with distances of 14.13 and 13.12 meters, respectively, and Fisher also placed 11th in the weight throw at 12.32 meters.
Daniel Aguirre, with a time of 2:39.61, was third in the 1000 meters.
