LA CROSSE, Wis. - Coming off of two wins against Viterbo University (Wis.) on Thursday, the Dickinson State softball team kept the momentum rolling into Friday, March 23 with a 15-3 win.
The second game went to Viterbo, with the V-Hawks taking the 4-2 victory.
The Blue Hawks (14-11, 4-4 NSAA) scored 10 runs in the opening inning, leading the V-Hawks (6-14, 2-6 NSAA) to pull starting pitcher Kendyl Schine after she allowed eight runs in a third of an inning. Bailey Thur pitched the remaining innings for Viterbo.
Freshman Carrie Nagel pitched all five innings for the Blue Hawks, allowing three runs, two of which were earned, and striking out two.
Viterbo tallied all three of their runs in the second. Junior Bailey Thur hit a double and Taylor Bondar followed with an RBI single. Brooklyn Ottelien hit a two-run homer, but the Blue Hawks stopped the V-Hawks there.

Ottelien came up big again in the second game, this time with a three-run homerun to kick off the scoring in the first.
The Blue Hawks added one run in the third and another in the fifth, but Viterbo sealed the win in the sixth with an RBI triple from from Sarah Throgmorton.
