SPEARFISH, S.D. - The Dickinson State men’s and women’s track and field teams came away with five first-place finishes on Saturday at the Dave Little Alumni Mile, hosted by Black Hills State University.
Senior Jose Chorro won the men’s 60-meter hurdles in 8.29 seconds, and freshman Ty Stanton was first in the men’s triple jump with a mark of 44 feet, 10.75 inches. Senior Whitney Leuenberger was first in both the women’s weight throw (48-9.0) and the shot put (41-8.5).
And the top three spots in the men’s long jump all went to Blue Hawks; Zach Girard was first at 21-0.75, and Stanton (20-10.50) and Carson Oakland (20-3.75) were right behind him.
Jay Liggins was second behind Stanton in the triple jump (44-4.0), and Tyler Quilling was fourth (42-2.25).
Cain Boschee was second in the men’s 60-meter dash (7.18 seconds), and Amanda Wolff was third in the women’s mile run in 5 minutes, 34.27 seconds. Wolf was also fourth in the 800 meters (2:32.22).

Shelbi McGee was second in the women’s 400 meters (1:03.62), and Gabe Meschke was second in the men’s 400 (52.36 seconds).
The men’s 1,600-meter relay team of Meschke, Chase Anderson, Chorro and Boschee finished second in 3:30.84.
Ty Malone was second in the men’s shot put with a toss of 46-11.75.
