The Dickinson State women’s basketball team signed two 6-foot forwards off the Montana state Class A championship team, according to a press release Wednesday.

Danielle Wallace and Kyley Verploegen helped the Havre High Blue Ponies to a 24-0 record and a 2018 Montana Class A State Championship.

"Both Kyley and Danielle will add a competitive factor to our team and some much needed size," stated Coach Liz Lewis said via press release. "They come from a high school program that is very well coached and has a history steeped in winning tradition. Kyley and Danielle know what it takes to win games, and we are extremely excited to see what they bring to the floor this season. Both players will be a great addition to the Blue Hawk family."

Wallace, who will study nursing at DSU, averaged 10 points and shot 51 percent from the field during her senior season. She also averaged seven rebounds per game and earned First Team All-State selection.

Verploegen lettered in basketball for three seasons and was named an Honorable Mention All-Conference player in 2018. She will study biology in the fall.
