BISMARCK -- There are few events where Mott-Regent's Abby Honeyman doesn't excel.
The sophomore went home a placer in all four events in the Class B girls state track and field meet on Saturday at the Bismarck Community Bowl.
However, Honeyman knows it's going to take work during the offseason to perform better each and every year.
"We'll (the Mott-Regent team) be doing the Acceleration program at Dickinson State," Honeyman said. "That's just teaches you to push yourself to the limit. Next year, we have a lot of goals."
Honeyman added three more pieces of hardware to her collection.

The Mott-Regent sophomore took second place in the 100 hurdles (15.37), third in the 800 relay (1:48.73) and seventh in the 300 hurdles (48.03). She was fourth in the triple jump Friday.
Honeyman was waiting to run against Langdon-Munich senior McKenzie Hart the entire year. The Wildfire sophomore finally got her chance.
"She is such a great runner and I wouldn't want to get second behind anyone else," Honeyman said. "I'm glad I got to run with her during her last year. We were fighting it out through the whole race, so that was fun."
Killdeer senior Taylor Boster came in with the best discus throw in the state (130 feet, 7 inches), but fell short against fellow Southwest Region opponent Emily Wolf of New Salem-Almont, a Dickinson State basketball recruit.
"I threw qualifying throws the entire meet," Boster said. "I didn't hit that 120 mark. Emily had a great throw and I knew she wanted it just like I did. I can't be that unhappy with it."
Wolf won the event with a 120-11, while Boster ended with a 118-9. Boster said was more prepared for this state meet.
"I was more mentally prepared," Boster said. "Physically, I was prepared. I just couldn't get it out there where I wanted to."
Trinity's Andrea Jirges helped the 400, 800, 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams all place at the state meet. She said she couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to her track career.

"It's really cool, because we weren't ranked high in any of them," Jirges said. "We didn't have the highest hopes going into them, but we realized what we can do and it's nice to know we can do what we believe in."
Mott-Regent's Marah Friez placed sixth in the 100 (12.74) and fifth in the 200 (26.21). Hazen's Dakota Wood ran her way to third in the 300 (46.36) and 100 hurdles (15.72).
Bowman County senior Erika Olson was leery about running the 800, but nothing seemed to bother her during the race. She finished in third (2:26.01).
"That was pretty awesome," Olson said with a laugh. "I'm a newbie at it, but it was fun."
