BILLINGS, Mont. - Following their rough loss the night before, the Dickinson State women’s basketball team was looking to redeem itself in the second day of the Rocky Mountain College tournament. The Blue Hawks had no such luck, as Montana Western barraged them and took the 86-46 victory on Saturday, Dec. 30.
Junior Lacey Waid, sophomore Jennifer Burnham and junior Chelsey Borden each contributed 12 points for the Blue Hawks. Borden also led in rebounds with eight, while Waid had a team-leading four steals.
The Blue Hawks were no match for the Bulldogs, who put up 33 points in the opening quarter and led 49-20 at the half.
Cierra Lamey and Brianna King each scored 17 points for Montana Western.
