JAMESTOWN - Dickinson High junior Sydney Charchenko led the Midgets with a 97 on the first day of the East-West Classic on Monday at Jamestown Country Club.
Dickinson teammates Jace Steier and Shelby Steier followed with a 100 and a 127, respectively.
Competition at the Classic resumes at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Williston’s Jami Wells leads the field after the first day after shooting a 78. The Coyotes also lead the team competition with a combined score of 338.
Minot, led by Jace Jones’ 83, sits in second place among teams at 344, and Mandan occupies third place at 352.
