The undefeated Rugby boys basketball team closed out the Class B poll with the No. 1 spot.
The Panthers are 16-0 with wins over No. 5-ranked Four Winds-Minnewauken, No. 7-ranked Des Lacs-Burlington and No. 9-ranked St. John. In the three games, Rugby defeated its opponent by an average of 16 points per game. Rugby garnered all 15 first-place votes for 168 points.
Fargo Oak Grove (15-1) moved up one spot to No. 2 for 141 points. The Grovers handed the defending state champions Milnor its only loss of the season. The Bison (16-1) are No. 3 with 126 points.
For Region 7, Hazen (14-2) maintained its No. 6 spot for 72 points. Beulah (13-5) received votes.
Minot Ryan - defending Class B girls basketball champions - stayed in the No. 1 spot with all 14 first-place votes for 140 points.
The top four spots remained the same as Thompson (15-1) is No. 2, North Star (15-0) is No. 3 and Shiloh Christian (13-1) rounded out as No. 4.
In Region 7, Beach (13-2) dropped from the No. 5 spot to No. 9. Unranked Carrington defeated the Buccaneers 50-33 on Saturday.
