NEW SALEM -- Heart River opened up in the fourth quarter and scored 22 points against New Salem-Almont-Glen Ullin Friday night, winning 30-14 overall.
The Cougars' running back Clayton Tangen had an explosive night, scoring all four of his team's touchdowns and finished with 31 carries for 194 yards.

MOTT -- Shiloh Christian continued to extend its win streak Friday night with a 53-8 victory over Mott-Regent.

Three players for the Sky Hawks rushed for over 100 yards during the game. Blake Emmel had six carries for 124 yards, AJ Dale had six for 102 and James Inman had three for 128 yards.
It will be a battle of the unbeatens next week, as Shiloh-Christian will play Grant County-Flasher, who is coming off a 20-6 victory over Richardton-Taylor-Hebron Friday night.

Night Hawks handle Bowman County
BOWMAN -- The Hettinger-Scranton football team didn't have any yards through the air, but it didn't matter.

The Night Hawks racked up 405 yards on the ground and had three rushers with more than 100 yards during a 42-6 win over Bowman County.
Kye Erickson had 146 yards on four carries and two touchdowns, while Brandon Pierce added 145 yards and four TDs. Tanner Sanford supplied 108 yards including a 25-yard TD run.
Bowman County's lone score came from John Yale from 30 yards out. He finished with 57 yards on 11 carries.
