Cougars take top three spots at Beulah Invite

BEULAH - The Heart River boys golf team occupied the top three spots of the Beulah Invite on Thursday at Black Sand Golf Course.

Junior Jayden Ewoniuk earned medalist honors with a score of 70, and teammates Joey Wagner, a senior, and Trace Jacobson, a junior, each shot 75 to help the Cougars to a first-place finish with an overall score of 306. Jett Mattson tied for sixth with an 84.

Beulah placed second among all teams with an overall score of 342. Michael Schmidt led the Miners with a 77 for fourth place.

Dickinson Trinity placed third with a score of 368, led by Cole Fitterer’s 86, which earned him ninth place. Matt Tessier was next on the Titans with an 88, good enough for 11th place. Peter Pavek and Chris Schneider each shot a 97 for the Titans, while Keagan Jacobson shot 100 and Thomas Kovar carded a 113.
