JAMESTOWN - The Dickinson High boys swimming and diving team placed seventh on Saturday at the Blue Jay Invite with 103 team points.
Among the day’s highlights were Jacob Ellerkamp qualifying for state in the 100-meter backstroke, placing eighth in 1 minute, 6.46 seconds, and Steven Bratten setting a personal record in the same race - 1:02.18, for fourth place.
Bratten also set a personal record in the 50 freestyle (24.84 seconds), where he placed ninth.
Isaac Ellerkamp notched a personal record in the 100 freestyle (57.49 seconds), where he placed 10th, and so did Trenton Irwin (1:13.89), who placed 26th. Isaac Ellerkamp also placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.83.
Jackson Metcalf set a personal record in the 50 freestyle (40.84 seconds), where he placed 47th. Bailey Decker set a personal record in the 100 backstroke (1:17.21), where he placed 18th.
