HAZEN - Alex Turcotte and Matt Pavek fueled the Dickinson High boys hockey team’s fire on Tuesday.
The two combined for all four goals to lead the Midgets past Hazen-Beulah 4-1 during a West Region game.
Turcotte - a senior forward - supplied the opening and closing goals. Pavek - a junior forward - posted the second and third goals. Gannon Karsky supplied a pair of assists, while Turcotte had an assist.
The North Stars’ lone goal came from Mikey Morris in the second period. Derek Morris and Nate Leintz supplied the assist.
Brett Schweitzer was credited with the win after making 30 saves for the Midgets (9-11, 5-10 West). Tyler Murschel was tagged with the loss and stopped 47 shots.
The Midgets close out their regular season traveling to Williston for a West Region game at 6 p.m. Saturday.
