JAMESTOWN - Four Dickinson high swimmers qualified for the state meet during their meet in Jamestown on Saturday, where the Midgets placed fifth overall with a total of 232 points.
The qualifiers were Kara Wanner in the 500 freestyle, Hannah Rathgeber in the 100 freestyle, Katie Jankowski in the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly, and Brianna Ashworth in the 100 backstroke.
The Midgets placed second in both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Ashworth, with a time of 1:07.83, finished fifth in the 100 backstroke. Jankowski also placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:17.41.
Bismarck Century, which won nine of the 10 events on the day, swam to an easy first-place finish with 620.5 points.
