The Dickinson High girls tennis team fell to 2-2 on the young season after losing to Williston 7-2 on Tuesday, April 24 from Dickinson High School.
The Midgets (2-2, WDA 1-2) top four seeds dropped their matches in singles competition while all three doubles pairings were downed in straight sets.
DHS junior No. 1 Halie Karlen was defeated by Coyotes senior Vanessa Monslave 6-2, 6-3.
Dickinson junior Lauren Jorda was one of three Midgets to lose in three sets, falling to Williston senior Miranda Barraza 6-4, 4-6, 7-6.
Junior Alexa Cofer and seventh-grader Malayna Schnieder were the only Dickinson players to pick up wins. Cofer defeated eighth-grader Evelina Tyan 6-3, 6-3 while Schnieder outplayed junior Maggie Borseth 6-3, 7-5 to earn his fourth victory of the season.
