Junior forward Ryan Bren and sophomore defender Jaren Hugelen each had a pair of goals as the Dickinson High boys hockey team defeated Jamestown on the road 5-3 on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

“This was another tough West Region game,” Midgets head coach Dallas Kuntz said via text. “We started strong, got bodies on the net in the offensive zone and finished our chances. Hats off to the boys for keeping their heads when things got testy. I do not like the two goals we gave up late, but I’ll take the three points in the standings everyday.”

Bren’s two goals came in the first period and each were assisted by junior forward Cody Shepard. Hugelen followed Bren’s performance with a couple of goals in the second period, his first goal being unassisted.

Shepard added a goal later in the second period to add to his three assists.

Jamestown closed the gap with a couple of goals in the third period.
