The Dickinson High Midgets Boys Hockey Team is headed to the state tournament for the first time in 16 years.

The school held a pep rally on Tuesday night at the West River Ice Center to help send off the team.

Head Coach Dallas Kuntz said his team’s hard work in practice is the reason that they were able to make the state tournament.

Puck drops at 5:30 pm Mountain time at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks on Thursday against the Number 1 seeded Grand Forks Red River Roughriders.
