The Dickinson High tennis team lost 7-2 to Williston on Thursday, earning points from Marcail Allerdings in singles competition and from a doubles win courtesy of Cora Knipp and Jaida Harden.
Allerdings, a junior, prevailed in a super tiebreaker with Williston’s Jenna Albert 6-7 (5), 6-2, 10-8.
Harden was taken into a super tiebreaker as well, by Miranda Barraza. Harden won the first set 6-1, but Barraza finished 6-3 and 10-5.
Dickinson senior Katie Riely lost 7-5, 6-2 to Caitlyn Hunter. Dickinson’s Halie Karlen, Knipp and Alexa Cofer combined to win just two games in the rest of the singles action.
In doubles play, Knipp and Harden won 6-4, 6-4 over Barraza and Vanessa Monsalve Wagner.
