University of Minnesota senior Jess (Herauf) Lehman defended her Big Ten Conference pentathlon title on Friday at the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field championships in Geneva, Ohio.
Lehman, a 2011 graduate of Dickinson High, recorded a Big Ten- and Minnesota-record 4,393 points to win the pentathlon.
She placed first in the shot put (13.98 meters), long jump (6.03 meters) and 800-meter run (2 minutes, 10.33 seconds). Lehman took fifth in the high jump (1.67 meters) and third in the 60-meter hurdles (8.75 seconds).
