BISMARCK -- The Dickinson High boys golf team had a little easier time dealing with the weather conditions, but the team felt it could have done better.

The Midgets finished with a score of 330 during the Bismarck High Invitational at Tom O'Leary Golf Course.

"Today definitely wasn't our day," Dickinson head coach Sara Berglund said. "We weren't striking the ball as well as we wanted to. We were a little inconsistent around the greens with our putting."

Bismarck took top team honors shooting a 290, while Bismarck Century was runner-up with a 298. Bismarck St. Mary's rounded out the top three teams with a 306.

The Saints' Jake DeForest was the medalist firing a 68, which on Saturday was par on the course.

The Midgets continue their season traveling to Jamestown for the individual state qualifier on Friday.

"We have all of next week to practice and work on the things we need to improve on," Berglund said. "We'll hopefully be ready for next weekend."
