DP: Where are you from and why did you choose DSU?
BS: "I'm from Kalispell, Mont. and I chose Dickinson because it was just so inviting and it was like a family from the first second I got here and I wanted to further my running career."
DP: How did your conference finals time compare to your other times this season?
BS: "It was my best 5K time because in high school in Montana you only run three miles. "
DP: You guys had a pretty successful season. Can you talk about that a little?
BS: "Our team has always worked together and I think that's what helped winning conference for us. We joined as a team and set our goals as a team and just worked toward that. Every single time we're cheering for each other, we're encouraging each other in practice, we're checking up on everyone and working on that one goal of winning conference and going to nationals."
DP: What is your major?
BS: "Elementary education."
DP: If you could have one super power what would it be?
BS: "Probably the Force because when I'm sitting in bed and I want my Cheezits I'll just force it over to me."
DP: How long have you been running cross country and what's your favorite part about it?
BS: "I've been running cross country since fifth grade. I just love running in general. Now being here with such an amazing team just the team aspect makes running so much more enjoyable."
DP: What do you hope to do after college?
BS: "After college I hope to be an elementary teacher and maybe to coach cross country and track for high school."
DP: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
BS: "Ice cream. I love ice cream, I eat it all the time. There's just so many different flavors. It's just a solid choice."
DP: Who has been your biggest inspiration to succeed?
BS: "My mom. She was a really good runner in college and she's just always been there for me in anything I need."
