Cain Boschee, a senior on the Dickinson State football team, capped off his final year in the blue and grey with a piece of history. In an NAIA quarterfinal game against Kansas Wesleyan, which the Blue Hawks lost 43-40 on Saturday, Nov. 24, Boschee earned his fifth interception of the season. The pick, which he returned for 28 yards, was the 24th of his career, tying the school record set by Rocky Hanson, who played from 1988-90.

DP: Where are you from and why did you choose Dickinson State?

CB: "I'm from Kalispell, Mont., and I chose to come to DSU because it was an option to play football. I wasn't really recruited that much out of high school and Coach Stanton gave me that chance. I like the place. I got family here in town. Just felt like a good fit."

DP: How long have you been playing football and what is your favorite part?

CB: "I've been playing football for as long as I can remember. The team aspect of it is my favorite. You come together, just a hundred guys, it's just a brotherhood."

DP: Why was your team so successful this year?

CB: "We just connected really well. All summer, the last four years, we've all just been together and connected and have that chemistry."

DP: What would you say is the highlight of your football career?

CB: "Definitely winning the (the NAIA playoff game against) Northwestern (Iowa) on the road in the cold. That was just crazy."

DP: What's next for you? Is there football in your future?

CB: "I don't know yet. I'm undecided. I'm applying for graduate school right now."

DP: Do you participate in anything else on campus?

CB: "Track and field."

DP: If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

CB: "Probably Tacos."

DP: Where is the best place to eat in town and what is your go-to order?

CB: "El Som(brero) and it's the P5."

DP: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

CB: "Probably to fly."

DP: If you had to get rid of two of your sense, what would they be?

CB: "Two of my senses... probably, smell and taste."

DP: What is the best show or movie you watched recently?

CB: "I've been watching this show called Manifest. It's pretty crazy."

DP: Do you have a sports idol?

CB: "Probably, Aaron Rodgers right now. I'm a big Packers fan."
