MADISON, S.D. - Traditionally, the Dickinson State women’s basketball team struggled on the road.
The Blue Hawks broke with tradition with a win against Presentation College (S.D.) on Wednesday and defeated Dakota State (S.D.) 64-61 in the last regular-season game of the year on Saturday.
Megan Klein had 17 points and 19 rebounds.
She, Lorna Shepherd, and Hailee Farstveet combined for 49 points to lead the Blue Hawks. Shepherd led with 19 points.
Dakota State’s Sharee Galbraith had 12 rebounds, seven points and three steals while Kennedy Wagner and Erin Rabenberg scored 18 and 12 points, respectively.
Dickinson State will be the No. 4 seed in the NSAA tournament and play at No 3 Mayville State at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
