The Dickinson State women’s basketball team was ranked No. 22 in the NAIA Division II coaches’ poll released Tuesday by the league office.
The Blue Hawks (6-2) have yet to play a North Star Athletic Association game, but already have three NCAA Division II wins (one was exhibition). DSU’s only losses have come to NAIA Division I No. 5-ranked Montana State-Northern, both by three points or less.
Morningside (Iowa) , Saint Xavier (Ill.) , Hastings (Neb.), Briar Cliff (Iowa) and College of the Ozarks (Mo.) were ranked in the top five, respectively. The only NSAA team in the ranking was the University of Jamestown (8-2, 2-0 NSAA) at a tie for No. 10. Jamestown was also No. 1 in the NSAA rankings, while DSU was No. 2.
