YANKTON, S.D. - Dickinson State junior Christopher Moreno finished in 11th place to help the Dickinson State men’s cross country team to a fourth-place showing at the Mt. Marty Invite on Saturday. Eleven teams competed in the race.
Moreno led the Blue Hawks with a time of 26 minutes, 35.44 seconds. Tristen Guillot finished 15th in 26.49.64. Other DSU finishers were Jonathan Aman (29th, 27:30.46), Ernest Franssen III (36th, 27:49.12), Daniel Aguirre (42nd, 27:57.85), Trey Smollack (50th, 28:16.47), Richard Timmermans (51st, 28.19.07) and Clay Goich (67th, 29:18.09).
The DSU women’s team was led by Brittney Grove’s 13th-place finish in 19:35.14. Amanda Wolff followed in 25th place in 20:05.93, and Cristina Herrera was 30th in 20:21.86. With only three runners, the DSU women did not record a team score.
The next race for each team will be Nov. 5, the North Star Athletic Association championships at Heart River Golf Course.
