The Dickinson State football team jumped to No. 15 in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, which was released Monday.
The Blue Hawks, fresh off a 55-36 victory over Presentation College on Saturday, moved up six spots from their previous No. 21 ranking.
DSU is now 3-1 overall with a 1-0 record in the North Star Athletic Association. The Blue Hawks return to action at 3 p.m. (CT) Saturday at Valley City.
Also announced on Monday were the NSAA Player of the Week awards for freshman kicker Cody Johnson and sophomore defensive back Cain Boschee.
Johnson went 7 for 7 on extra point tries against Presentation College, and he added field goals of 28 and 32 yards to be named the special teams honoree. Boschee garnered the defensive player award for the week after recording seven tackles and two interception returns for touchdowns.
