The Dickinson State football team announced the signings of two recruits Thursday, Jonathan Rush of New Braunfels, Texas, and Devin Abdullah of Euless, Texas.
Rush, who’s listed at 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds, was an All-District player at the 6A level, the highest in Texas football, as a senior running back.
In his career, Rush accumulated 3,480 yards and 45 touchdowns. He also collected nearly 1,500 yards receiving and returning.
He plans to study communications at Dickinson State.
Abdullah was a linebacker and fullback in high school. On defense, he averaged eight tackles per game, and on offense, he rushed for 133 yards and two scores as a senior.
Abdullah’s teams were district champions in 2014 and 2015.
