Dickinson State grabs 3 wins during Cobber Duals

MOORHEAD, MINN. - The Dickinson State men’s and women’s track and field teams picked up three first-place finishes at the Cobber Duals on Saturday.
On the men’s side, Jose Chorro won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.55 seconds and Breyan Miller came in first in the 60 dash at 6.96 seconds. Chorro also finished runner-up in the long jump.
Both DSU’s 1,600-meter relay teams placed in the top three of the event. The first team - Zelmon Knowles, Miller, Ryan Jones and Delano Lilly - came runner-up with a time of 3:34 and was followed close behind by the second team - Edison Clarke, Josh Reed, Adrian Fischer and Chorro - at 3:34.78.
Austyn Copp won the women’s 3,000-meter run at 11:04.13 and came in third place in the mile.
DSU competes next at the Birds & Bees Classic on Friday in Gillette, Wyo.
