OMAHA, Neb. - The Dickinson State volleyball team overcame a 2-1 set deficit to Grace (Neb.) University on Saturday to take the match 3-2.
The Blue Hawks won the first set 25-16 but the Royals answered with a 26-24 win in the second game. Grace took the 2-1 set lead with a 25-21 victory in the third set. DSU rallied to win the final two games 25-15 and 15-12.
Danielle Boyette recorded a triple-double for the Blue Hawks with 10 kills, 10 digs and 28 assists. Ellie Hanser had 18 kills, and Shelby Gustafson supplied 14 kills and eight blocks. Tessa Sian had six kills and seven blocks, and Sydney Bentz chipped in with six kills and six blocks of her own.
Keera Stookey led with 37 assists, and Shaylee Singleton collected 24 digs.
The Blue Hawks return home for a 7 p.m. match against Valley City State on Friday and a 2 p..m. match on Saturday against Mayville State to complete the regular season.
