FOREST CITY, Iowa - The Dickinson State women’s basketball team improved to 9-5 overall and 4-1 in the North Star Athletic Association following a 78-51 victory over Waldorf (Iowa) on Friday.
Megan Klein led the Blue Hawks with 16 points and 14 rebounds in the game. Taylor Henningsgard added 12 points and eight assists, and Lorna Shepherd supplied 11 points.
The Blue Hawks forced 25 turnovers and outrebounded the Warriors 39-29. Waldorf shot just 34.1 percent from the field.
DSU started hot, leading 26-14 after the first quarter and taking a 40-23 advantage into halftime.
Ashley Bentz-Laub scored nine points for DSU, and MacKayla Feeney added eight points.
