After a pair of standout performances in two Dickinson State victories last week, women’s basketball player Megan Klein was named the North Star Athletic Association’s Player of the Week, according to a press release Monday.
Klein, a junior from Killdeer, helped the No. 21 Blue Hawks to wins over Johnson & Wales (Colo.) University and Northern New Mexico at the Johnson & Wales Classic in Denver.
Against the host team, Klein scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 90-64 win. Against Northern New Mexico, she put up 17 points, 17 boards, two assists, two blocks and two steals in a 75-76 victory.
In the two games, she shot 13 of 21 from the field (61.9 percent).
