Rachael Dillon, a senior outfielder on the Dickinson State softball team earned NAIA All-American accolades for her performance this past season.

Not only did the Billings, Mont. native start all 51 games this season, she also lead the team in nearly every statistical category. She earned 11 home runs on 72 hits and 42 RBIs. She also had 58 putouts.

With Dillon’s help, the Blue Hawks went 32-21 this spring, winning the North Star Conference Championship.

DSU advanced to the NAIA championship bracket in Fayette, Mo., but dropped their first to games.

“I am incredibly proud of Rachael,” Blue Hawks head coach Kristen Fleury said. “She has been a leader on and off the field for us her entire career at DSU. Her offensive and defensive mentality is exactly what any coach would want. She is an outstanding athlete and is very deserving of this award. We are very pleased with her performance and will miss her on the field next year.”
