GRAND FORKS - On the final hole of his high school golfing career, Davis Donnan made sure he enjoyed the moment.
"On my last hole, I did. Just pumped the driver, right down the middle of the fairway," the Dickinson High senior said. "I finished with par. ... It was a blast playing a nice course like that. I feel like I didn't play to my full potential, but I can't complain. I couldn't have played at a better course and have better days for my last competitive tournament as a senior."
Donnan finished his career with consecutive 88s at the Class A boys golf state meet at Grand Forks Country Club. Dickinson High finished with a team score of 689 for 11th place.
Dickinson was in 11th place after Monday's play with a score of 344; the Midgets shot 345 on Tuesday.
"Today, the course definitely played tougher," Dickinson head coach Sara Berglund said. "It was windier today, and with the course being as difficult as it already is, with as many trees as it has, I thought the guys did a really good job of adjusting."

Dickinson senior Jerzy Martin also finished up his career on Tuesday, shooting an 86 after a Monday 85 to finish with a two-day score of 171.
"You couldn't get a better two days for golf. The course was really nice and really fun to play," Martin said. "I was just taking in the moment with it being my last competitive sport as a Midget. ... I had a couple bad holes, but that's golf. I was playing some par-bogey golf, but it wasn't bad."
Juniors Dylan Pokorny (83-88) and Hunter Myran (88-83) each finished the tournament with a score of 171. Freshman Logan Greef shot a 93 on Tuesday, giving him a two-day total of 196, and junior Aidan Levorsen carded a 95 for a tournament score of 191.
Grand Forks Red River took home the team title with a score of 622, ending a 21-year drought between state championships for the Roughriders. West Fargo Sheyenne finished 12 strokes back for second place, and Fargo Davies claimed third place with a score of 634.
