JAMESTOWN -- The Dickinson State men's and women's golf teams took fourth at the Jimmie Open on Wednesday.
The men shot a 297, which was 15 strokes behind Concordia College (Minn.). Minot State finished in second with a 283.
Thomas Weikle led the Blue Hawks, carding a 72 while teammates Kody Harper (73), Kyle Chan (75) and Anthony Elliott (77) also came in under 80. Zach Kappes and Pat Deitz of Concordia, and Ben Edwards of Minot State tied for medalist honors with 68s.
"It wasn't a great start for us," Dickinson State coach Tim Daniel said. "We had some of the older kids play well. The younger kids struggled a little bit."
On the women's side, Kelsey Boedeker shot an 81 as the Blue Hawks finished fourth in the five-team field with a team score of 359. Lana Scott came in with an 83 while Caitlin Hurlock carded a 92.

Minot State won team honors with a 343 behind medalist Whitney Stanley, who carded a 78.
