MISSOULA, Mont. - The weather didn’t do any favors on the golf course, as the Dickinson State mens and womens golf teams completed day one of the Frontier Conference Golf Tournament on Monday at the Larchmont Golf Course.
After two rounds, the DSU women find themselves in fourth place with a team score of 776 and the men in seventh with 690.
Freshman Mary Hlebechuk currently sits in 16th place overall and shot 175 on the day. Laura Duppong posted a 195, Alyssa Hildebrand was right behind her with a 197 and Danielle O’Donnell supplied a 209.
For the men, Austin Harper led the team with a 163 and Kale Overson shot a 165. Nate Easton finished the day with a 173 and Jeremy Beehler rounded the team out with a 189.
Carroll College (Mont.) (599) currently is on top of the leaderboard and five shots over Lewis-Clark State College (Idaho) (604) for the men.
On the women’s side, Rocky Mountain College (Mont.) (636) is in the lead and only one stroke over Lewis-Clark (637). Saints’ top golfer Kyla Clancey is currently tied for first with Warriors’ Heather Bruce after both finished the day shooting a 151.
The teams get back on the course for the final round at 9 a.m. today.
