The Dickinson State women's basketball team announced the signing of Karen Hopkins on Tuesday, according to a press release.
The 5-foot-6 guard from Oklahoma City, Okla., will enter DSU as a junior. She previously played two years at Western Oklahoma State College where she averaged 11 points, three assists and three steals per game.
At Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City, Hopkins averaged 15 points, five rebounds and three assists per game. In 2011 she earned the Shooting Guard Award and was named Best Defensive Player.
